TMC Iloilo is proud partner of ‘Hakab Na 2019’

August is all about breastfeeding!

Promoting the importance of breastfeeding has been a worldwide celebration through the World Breastfeeding Week.

In the Philippines, breastfeeding promotion is a month-long celebration through the National Breastfeeding Month  with mothers and breastfeeding advocates gather to organize different breastfeeding initiatives and activities.

“The Big Global Latch On” is the biggest event of the World Breastfeeding Week and in the Philippines, it was adopted through the Hakab Na, a yearly gathering of mothers simultaneously nursing their children in different parts of the country.

The Medical City Iloilo through its Women’s Health Center is a proud partner of this year’s Hakab Na Iloilo. Through this partnership, TMC Iloilo put women’s health at the centerstage by educating them why they need to lookout for their own health in order to take care of their children and family.

The services of TMC Iloilo Women’s Health Center are all specially dedicated to address women’s health needs and assist them in pursuing a proactive lifestyle.

In Iloilo City, the event was held last August 3, 2019 at Robinsons Place Pavia with more than 300 mother-baby pairs joined in the simultaneous latch on.

This initiative aims to help in sending the message of how important a healthy community where mothers are informed of the value of breastfeeding and their babies getting the right nutrition.
