Save the Breast to Last: TMC Iloilo celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Medical City Iloilo highlighted the celebration the Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the “Save the Breast to Last Walkathon” held last October 30, 2019.

TMC Iloilo patient partners from the Iloilo City Police Office 1, Iloilo Bosom Friends and 9 & Beyond together with TMC Iloilo employees walked from the Iloilo River Esplanade 1 going to TMC Iloilo to raise awareness about breast cancer.

The event was highlighted with the formation of the human pink ribbon by the attendees which symbolizes TMC Iloilo’s support and active participation in spreading awareness breast cancer.

“This walkathon is our simple way of raising awareness about breast cancer which is one of the leading types of cancer that cause mortality among women”, TMC Iloilo Chief Executive Officer Dr. Felix Ray Villa said.

“By raising public’s awareness, we will be able to teach them ways on how to prevent and treat this kind of disease and eventually save lives,” he added.
