Here at The Medical City Iloilo, safety protocols and precautionary measures have been in place making our facility a SAFE ZONE FOR ALL PATIENTS.
Even before the pandemic, The Medical City Iloilo has been a safe and clean environment for all patients. We always make sure that our safety guidelines are strictly followed to provide the best customer experience that we can.
Under the new normal, the following strategies are being implemented at TMC Iloilo:
SPLIT APPROACH STRATEGY
This strategy provides a safe environment for all patients as we split our facility into two zones – Green Zone and Red Zone. The Green Zone is dedicated to patients, clients and stakeholders who do not have respiratory symptoms. Meanwhile, the Red Zone is for patients who have respiratory symptoms. In this zone, the patients are being triaged and isolated to a separate area to avoid cross contamination. (Watch video here)
PRE-SCREENING AND TRIAGING AREAS
By the time the patient/visitor enters the hospital premises, they will be initially assessed at the Pre-Screening Area. It is where they will be interviewed if they have respiratory symptoms, travel history, and initial temperature are also being obtained. (Watch video here)
SPLIT EMERGENCY ROOM WITH SEPARATE ENTRANCE AND EXITS
If the patient manifests signs and symptoms identified under DOH COVID-19 Guidelines, he/she will be triaged to the Emergency Department “Red Zone”. However, if the patient doesn’t have the said signs and symptoms, he/she will be directed to the Emergency Department “Green Zone” and can proceed with their transactions. (Watch video here)
SEPARATE ELEVATORS
To avoid cross-contamination, TMC Iloilo has dedicated separate elevators for both “Red Zone” and “Green Zone” patients. These elevators are always being maintained and sanitized regularly to ensure safety. (Watch video here)
DEDICATED COVID FLOOR
In case of COVID-19 patient admission, TMC Iloilo has a separate COVID floor which is located at the topmost level of the hospital. The floor is also equipped with negative pressure isolation rooms that can handle both mild and critical cases. (Watch video here)
DEDICATED MEDICAL TEAM
TMC Iloilo’s COVID Floor has dedicated medical personnel composed of staff and Critical Care Unit nurses who completed skills and competency training in handling patients with infectious and contagious diseases. (Watch video here)
SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR OUTPATIENT CONSULTATION
For outpatient consultations, TMC Iloilo Ambulatory Care Center, the hospital’s Outpatient Department devised a new set of guidelines for the safety of those who need outpatient care. Among those include the “No Medical Mask (surgical/N95), No Consultation” Policy; a limited number of patients per doctor; and pre-appointment setting through its online booking application, Check|App (booking.themedicalcityiloilo.com) and hotlines, (033) 500-1000 / 0917-379-5698. The Red Line makes it easier for patients to give feedback and suggestions, while the Care Corner at the Ambulatory Care Center provides quick grabs and entertainment while they are waiting for their turn for consultation.
