TMC Iloilo welcomes new MDs
The Medical Services Division (MSD) of The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo in cooperation with its Physician Engagement Development Unit (PEDU) recently conducted its annual On-Boarding for its doctors at TMC Iloilo Townhall to officially welcome new doctors.
TMC Iloilo CEO Dr. Felix Ray Villa and PEDU Head Dr. Ma. Sancha Pauline Garcia reminded and encouraged the newly-boarded physicians of the significant roles they play in realizing the patient partnership philosophy of the hospital.
Both active and visiting consultants, hospitalists and resident doctors of the TMC Iloilo were present during the said activity.
The activity was highlighted by a retrospective reflection on the achievements and programs launched for the last 10 months presented by Dr. Garcia; the “TMC Attending” discussed by Dr. Jared Billena and Dr. John Colacion and the programs and activities in store for the residents next year presented by Dr. Felix Ray Villa.
TMC Iloilo takes time to realize such activity for its consultants in order to highlight the “TMC Attending”, an initiative of the hospital to ensure that specialists are aligned with its philosophy.
Considered as major players in achieving total wellness of the patients, the doctors ensure that patients become aware of the kind of treatment they receive and how the treatment process will go. Among the initiative they do to live up “Patient Partnership” service philosophy of the TMC include Family Conferences and Pre-Operation Orientation. (TMCI)
