TMC Iloilo celebrates Patient Experience Awareness Week
ILOILO City – As its way of recognizing the efforts and dedication of its workforce in embodying the Patient Partnership Service Philosophy, The Medical City Iloilo celebrated its first-ever Patient Experience Awareness Week on December 12-14.
The said celebration was underscored by series of activities that gave spotlight to TMC Iloilo Patient Partners.
The first day of the event was highlighted by the unveiling of TMC Iloilo Patient Experience logo. The said logo was chosen through a logo design competition participated by TMC Iloilo employees. The winning logo was designed by Fidel Yongque III of the Nursing Services Department which portrays a poignant visual representation of the collaborative and interconnected nature of healthcare relationships.
“The emblem embodies the transformative power of partnership, illustrating how a single act of support and understanding can create a ripple effect, positively impacting the lives of patients, caregivers, and the broader community, fostering a culture of empathy, trust, and healing”, Yongque explained.
Meanwhile, on the second day, TMC Iloilo Patient Partners were encouraged to share their most unforgettable patient encounter. As part of this activity, TMC Iloilo employees enjoyed some treats which include free foot reflex, back massage, frozen yogurt, coffee, and snacks. A fun Family Feud Game participated by different units was also held to spice up the celebration.
TMC Iloilo Patient Experience Awareness Week 2023 was culminated at SM City Iloilo with Patient Partnership Conversations wherein TMC Iloilo Patient Partners shared their experiences with TMC Iloilo as a nurse and patients.
“It was heartwarming to know that your patients still remember you personally despite the difficult situations that they have undergone. I am happy and proud that I found a home at TMC Iloilo where I felt a sense of purpose and belongingness”, TMC Iloilo nurse and Daisy Awardee Henry Maurice Gomez shared.
Meanwhile, TMC Iloilo patients Jim Glor Lacandazo and Maria Lilia Huervana both recounted how TMC Iloilo Patient Partners became instruments for them and their families. They also highlighted that they always choose TMC Iloilo not just because of its state-of-the-art facilities but because of the compassionate healthcare providers.
On the same day, TMC Iloilo also recognized its exemplary Patient Partners who embodied the Patient Partnership Service Philosophy through the Customer Service Excellence Awards.

Meanwhile, the Customer Service Excellence Awardees include:

They were chosen based on the commendations that we have collected from our Patient Satisfaction Survey through our Fresh Desk Patient Survey Application.
