PIMC, ASCON partner with TMC Iloilo for healthier, safer service
Premier Islands Management Corp. (PIMC) and ASCON Hotels and Resorts, a group of companies that manages Hotel Del Rio, GT Hotels, and Iloilo Convention Center recently partnered with The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo to provide a healthier and safer service.
Held on April 14 at the Iloilo Convention Center, the said activity was attended by the company’s frontline personnel.
It was highlighted with a talk on Basic Life Support (BLS) and hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) given by TMC Iloilo Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Team.
Aside from that, the participants also signed up for TMC Iloilo Heart Disease Risk Calculator, an online assessment tool used to know one’s risk of having a heart disease.
Andrea Trivilegio, Resident Manager of Hotel Del Rio highlights the importance of this training to their personnel especially since they are dealing with hotel guests who have medical emergencies sometimes.
She also emphasized that having knowledge of first aid and CPR is also helpful to them in managing events since they are handling huge conventions at the Iloilo Convention Center.
The recently held activity is part of TMC Iloilo brought its “Community Care Fest: A Health Fair for a Safer and Healthier Neighborhood”.
TMC Iloilo through its EMS advocates promoting health and safety by going to different communities to teach basic First Aid and hands-only CPR.
TMC Iloilo EMS is the first medical emergency program in Iloilo with a trained emergency team who can do procedures onboard and a 24/7 Emergency Hotline Number, 33-80808.
TMC Iloilo EMS also accepts partnerships for events by providing a standby emergency team and emergency medical transport services.
