TMC Iloilo launches ‘Heart Care Like No Other’
The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo celebrated Heart Month differently with the launching of the “Heart Care Like No Other” Campaign that kicked off on February 14 at Festive Walk Iloilo.

f event was highlighted with Family Feud: TMC Iloilo Heart Care Trivia Challenge. Four organizations namely, Barangay Health Workers of Iloilo City, Barangay Health Workers of Iloilo Province, Iloilo Bankers Association, and LGBTQIA+ Network of Iloilo competed in this trivia challenge that focused on the matters of the heart.
After facing off during the elimination and championship rounds, the LGBTQIA+ Network of Iloilo was named the grand winner while the Barangay Health Workers of Iloilo Province came in second place. The Barangay Health Workers of Iloilo City and Iloilo Bankers Association, on the other hand, won the consolation prizes. All the teams received cash prizes which will be used by the said organizations to fund their respective community projects.
Aside from the Family Feud, the “Heart Care Like No Other” launching was also underscored by a talk about heart diseases specifically Acute Myocardial Infarction or heart attack led by TMC Iloilo Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Kristy Garganera.
“As the Heart Care Capital of Western Visayas, TMC Iloilo has been doing its part in making Iloilo a heart-healthy community. We have the expertise, experience, and excellence in heart care being the first private hospital to have a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in Western Visayas and attained 99.42% Procedural Success Rate which is the highest in the region,” TMC Iloilo Chief Executive Officer Dr. Felix Ray Villa noted.
As part of the event, TMC Iloilo gave a Valentine’s surprise to three of its patient partners who have undergone heart procedures and experienced heart care like no other at TMC Iloilo. Patient Partners John Peter Manzano, Michael Terrence España, and Zozimo Hitalia were surprised by their loved ones with heartwarming messages during the event.
“We are happy and proud to be part of the healing journey of our patients. They serve as testaments to the kind of service that we have at TMC Iloilo,” said TMC Iloilo Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Prince Juliene Hermaine Celo.
In line with TMC Iloilo’s Heart Care Like No Other Campaign, an interactive exhibit was held at Iloilo Supermart Jibao-an on February 16-18 wherein shoppers got to avail of free Blood Pressure Check-up, signed up for TMC Iloilo’s Heart Risk Calculator, and took the Heart Care Online Quiz.
“We are passionate about educating people from Western Visayas on how they can take good care of their hearts. This is our way of fulfilling our commitment to bringing quality heart care closer to the communities that we serve,” Celo added.
TMC Iloilo is also lined up other activities in the coming weeks still as part of the Heart Care Like No Other Campaign. These include a series of provincial roadshows and the launching of a landmark in partnership with the Iloilo City Government.
